About Me
My Journey in Reflexology
I trained in 2000 after having reflexology myself, which resolved a long-standing condition within 3 treatments. I was hooked and thought if it could do that, it must be capable of helping so many other conditions and people. 21 years later, I am still hooked and still practicing, busier than ever.
22 years ago, I was suffering from about of ill-health but nothing I could put a label on, a variety of symptoms that meant I was not operating at my optimum. My doctor tried with a handful of specialists and treatments, but nothing changed. At the same time, a friend was training to be a Reflexologist and asked me to be a case study, her guinea pig. After 3 sessions, my various symptoms had cleared up and I felt amazing, better than I ever had. My energy levels were up, my anxiety had diminished, my other symptoms had gone. I looked into the next training course I could find in London and started my course under a year later with the amazing Maureen Burgess - a pioneer in modern reflexology. I have never looked back and my passion and enthusiasm for reflexology never wane, as I am rewarded on a regular basis with my clients who undergo transformations both physically and emotionally when they have a course or regular treatments.
How can Reflexology help me?
Reflexology is well known to be relaxing and several studies have shown that it may reduce pain and psychological symptoms such as stress and anxiety, enhancing relaxation and sleep encouraging your body back into balance and encourage your own healing to any condition and symptoms you may live with.
What conditions can it help?
I have treated people with many conditions ranging from stress, insomnia, arthritis, back problems, sub-fertility, ME, MS, cancer, migraines, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia & polymyalgia amongst the many reasons people seek reflexology - all have reported that their symptoms have reduced.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Most people feel very relaxed, some a bit sleepy - some describe it as 'zoned-out' or 'floaty'. You may find you have more energy, need the loo or feel very thirsty. These are all normal reactions to reflexology as it does help to detoxify the system and clear energy blockages. You may have a deeper sleep than usual that same night.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different and the response to Reflexology can be immediate but often and for more chronic symptoms, benefits can be seen after 4-5 sessions. Regular weekly treatments are best for the body properly beginning the self-healing process, and following an initial consultation, I will suggest the number of Reflexology sessions you may need.
I do home visits, so come to you in your own home and see clients in Lymington, Milford, Hordle, Everton, Brockenhurst, Barton and Barnes, SW London. I also rent a room at the Wessex Clinic on New Street, Lymington by arrangement.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how Reflexology works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables me to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to reflexology, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right reflexologist to help.
You can also call me on 07930338819 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
